Ah true my friend! Yet you forget one slight detail... You only get that new contact pricing every 2 years! So just like your car insurance.. it is a waste for pretty much most of the time but when that instance occurs that you need it feels pretty good paying $100 versus $600+.

Just putting this out there for future use, get full device coverage for ur phone thru verizon. it costs like 7.99 and not only gives u insurance but for the extra 2 bucks/month extends your warranty to 2 years instead of 1. its well worth it to me.
