People are talking about the 5.9.901 update, saying it *will* install over a "stock" 5.5.893 build, and that we *will* be receiving the update over the air if we have a "stock" 5.5.893 build....

HOWEVER -- I installed 5.5.893 back when it was a "leaked" update. I did NOT receive it over the air. (Luckily for me, I stopped there -- I didn't upgrade to any of the 5.6 or 5.7 versions). I'm still running that "leaked" 5.5.893 build, not rooted.

Am I now off the upgrade path? Anyone know? I can't seem to find a definite answer to this... Whether or not there's a difference between the "leaked" 5.5.893 and the "stock" 5.5.893.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

The MD5 sums have been checked on both builds (meaning leak and official) and they match up. What's that mean? That it's the exact same update. You guys should be good to go.

I thought I would put my 2 cents in as well. I was on the leaked 5.5.893 and just installed 5.9.901 with no issues whatsoever. Data handoff between 4g and 3g has been seamless for me now. :icon_ banana::icon_ banana:
