How exactly do you find out how fast 4G speeds are? Is it an app?

yes, its a free market app - i believe its just called 'speed test'. its from speedtest.net, who also provides the pc web browser version. you can also store history, change servers (for example: try la server, then try san diego). its pretty cool.

Hopefully they will leave it on for you. I recently traveled to an area that had it and 3g now feels like an eternity of waiting on things to load compared to LTE. Have fun with it, try not to kill your battery to fast. LOL.
