32gb SD card, should I do it?

I could really use all that space but I hear that some people have experienced problems while using the 32gb card. Can anyone elaborate on the issues that they know of with using this card? Thanks!

Which card? Some problems have been due to people buying fakes after ignoring too-good-to-be-true-pricing.

I've using a Sandisk 32 since they became available and have had absolutely no issues. I formatted it on my pc before I used it and then copied all my stuff off the 16 to it. I do remember one cautionary note from back then and that was to be sure you do not "name" the sdcard during the formatting process.

Good luck.

Why noy? mines named... what happens when u name it?

No problems here with a Sandisk 32GB card which was offered at a reduced rate by Verizon a couple of months ago.

Just stay away from the no-name cheap cards....

Well I've seen then on amazon for 80 bucks or so. I know that's extremely cheap but I'm going to try it and if it turns out to be a fake I'll cancel the payment and let AmEx chase after them. I figure it's worth a try before spending the full retail price if I might be able to get out for much cheaper.

Hah!! No idea. When I got my new card I searched for info prior to installing and found that warning repeated in various threads. I'm sure there was an explanation, but it didn't stick in my little brain nearly as well as the actual warning did. :)

ehh not really.. i have one i used it in my phone never really had it filled up because i dont need that much space on my phone so i now have the 32gb card in my DSLR where it gets used alot more.

They were actually only $50 from the Verizon Online Store last summer. It was a price mistake, but they honored it for those who got in on it before they corrected the price. Wish I would have bought one back then...

I actually have one and havent used it yet, but Im going to. Does nandroid and everthing still work fine with a 32gb?

Oh boy! I wish I got one back then. I just got the phone so yeah... Well it seems that all you have to do to get the card working is format it on your computer before anything else.
