32GB micro sd card

Ok, so like a lot of people I have been waiting for the release of a 32gb micro sd. Well while doing some random searching the other night I ran across this site that has them. (maybe anyway) It is listed as out of stock right now, but last night I could have sworn that it said it was available. (ok it was a little late and I was tired...so I could be mistaken) Anyway just wanted to give everyone a heads up, its the first site that I have found that even has listed a price on these things. And NOT very cheap by the way.

Heres the site: Micro SD Cards

yeah i know, but this is the first site to list a price for them (that i have found anyway). lets hope the price is wrong or goes way down relatively soon.:icon_eek:

Holy jesus. I can't see why anyone would pay more for that then they did for the phone itsself.
Don't worry - once they get into production - you'll see the price drop drastically. Are you old enough to remember paying $1,200.00 for a 100 mb hard drive? Now you can buy 16 GIG flash drives at costco for $49.00! And 2 TB internal drives for $99.00...

I'm sure we'll be seeing 32 gig microSD cards for less than $100.00 shortly. By next year they'll be keychain bluelight specials at Kmart for $4.99... :) cuskit

They'll still definitely be over $150 when they come out. Every type of storage has a sweet spot, and it's usually 1 or 2 sizes smaller than the top available capacity. 8gb cards can be had for $20ish, 16gb fro $50 right now.

I wish they'd come out with intermediate sizes instead of just doubling every time. I'd love to have a 24gb card (or even 16, since I have 8gb now).

Prices on flash memory and hard drives aren't dropping nearly as fast as they were a year or 2 ago. They've kind of reached a critical mass where the demand for higher capacities isn't nearly what it was.

The price will come down over the Summer and I will be all over that 32GB card!
Isn't it this summer they are expecting the DroidII that will be coming standard with a 64GB card - all for $49.00 no plan renewal? :icon_ poke:

I'd love to have a 24gb card (or even 16, since I have 8gb now).
why do you only have 8gb :icon_eek: my droid came with 16gb
I bought mine on ebay and didn't realize it didn't come with one. Still a good enough deal that it didn't bother me.

Oh, and the 8gb card came from my Blackberry.
They are multiples of 2 and there are reasons for doing it like this
Yeah, chip capacities double, but there's no reason they can't mix and match chips on a card.
