2.3 Update and Rooted Phone

There are rumors that the 2.3 update will be released shortly. Assuming a 2.3 update is released, my question is what happens to those of us with rooted phones who are still using the stock rom? I had rooted my phone simply so I could delete all of the bloatware. Everything else is stock. Will the 2.3 update install correctly on my phone or will it not install or should I unroot my phone now before the update is released? Can anyone chime in who experienced this with the 2.2 update.

You'll need to unroot to get the update. If you're rooted why not just run Gingerbread right now, there are some really good roms already available to us. Plus you have access to add things you couldn't get on a stock phone. Why wait for something that you might not get anyway????

Meh, aftermarket roms seem to be better than stock.
