2.3 for Thunderbolt?

When is the 2.3 update expected for the thunderbolt? Does anyone have info on this that's not total rumor?

Seeing as how it was just released, there's probably not going to be any solid info. It's all just going to be rumors and speculation for a while.

For the non-rooted, it will likely take a while. HTC will have to update the Sense UI and package it with the 2.3 software. I wouldn't expect to see it before Memorial Day, although it could happen.

It's way, way too early for that. You haven't even learned everything it can do yet I'll bet.

No one else has gotten it yet (as far as I know and I try to keep with updates) so why would the T-bolt get it this soon after launch. Seems like it would make more sense to ship with it already on rather than update 3 days later.

Just wondering why it didn't ship with 2.3? Not to mention just how long has it been in that box? Wouldnt shock me if an update came out soon after release. I'm sure new issues have been found since it was made. Also I haven't gotten mine yet. Gets here tomorrow almost didn't get it because its shipping with froyo. I have another upgrade in 3 months so if I don't like I'LLC get something else and give the T-bolt to my girlfriend.

This phone is so impressive that it's the first time I don't mind waiting for an update. I think the update will come out at about the same time I get used to how fast this thing is and start getting bored. Perfect timing.

I would imagine they started developing it before they had access to it. Also, HTC makes a lot of money on feature updates.

well @slayher finally has a rooted tbolt and is running a working version of the recovery it was said ealier today that CM is underway wether its 6 or 7 i dont know so it shouldnt be "TO LONG". CM7 for the HTC Thunderbolt "COMING SOON" lol
