As I have been gently advised not to go off topic in the Droid 2.1 thread I thought I would place any info on the Milestone 2.1 here for any who are interested.

Improvements.
Live Wallpapers
Old Launcher, but now with 5 home screens (EDIT: You can choose yourself if you want 3/5/7/9 homescreens in settings / display & sound / number of home panels)
Facebook sync works / app installed as default
Very nice new camera interface (pic)
DItto for camcorder
Quickoffice
Mp3-skipping problem fixed / still old app thou
Browser lag fixed,
Market notification bug fixed

Brilliant. Can you say how you managed it? It doesn't seem to be covered in the Milestone section or I may have missed it.

What I did was, I received a nandroid backup of 2.1 which I flashed using adbrecovery. Everything works great.

Latest Moto statement

the 2.1 release for Milestone will be staggered through Europe and Asia, by country and operator. Given those testing cycles and approvals are in process, we cannot provide a definitive date for each of these. The roll out will commence before end of March, and as soon as individual updates start to roll we will notify you here and in the owners portal.
