Moto has tried this in several different forms now, and I do think it's a great idea - they just haven't hit on the right implementation yet. Having something on your person that keeps your phone unlocked (like the "proximity" key on some new cars that only has to be in your pocket) is a great idea. Your phone only locks when it's more than 5 feet away from you. I like it.

Didn't watch the video...but what if your phone has a forced PIN on it...then this probably wouldn't work. Much like Motorola's Skip.
