wifi stuck scanning after phone call

I keep having an issue with my wifi getting stuck "scanning" after I hang up from a phone call. Prior to the call I've got excellent wifi reception, when I start a call, my wifi drops. When I hang up, my phone connects to 3G. In order to get back on wifi, I either have to reboot my phone or go to airplane mode and back, then turn wifi back on.
Moto droid running stock 2.1
Router is linksys wrt54gs
Anyone else having this issue? I've searched the forum but didn't see this issue posted anywhere else...if I missed it please point me in the correct direction.
