Why does my Gmail keep losing sync?

This is a problem that just started recently. My gmail constantly stops syncing and I have to clear data to make it work again, and then it only lasts for a day before I have to do it again. Is there anyone else who had this issue, and how did you resolve it? It's getting kind of annoying...

I've read about this problem and now it happened to me. Hmm...maybe it's catching.

Things that have not worked:
1. Power down/power up.
2. Clear data/clear cache from Gmail app
3. Delete all items in Drafts folder
4. Unstar Starred Contacts
5. Empty trash
6. Register as an Independent
7. Hard Reset

It is a baffling problem, but what is more baffling is why Google has not addressed this issue and posted a Sticky some where. Reminds me of the movie Gaslight.
