Got a question. I'm using a droid x, and set up a camera profile similar to one mentioned earlier... it ups the screen brightness and sets system volume to 0. That seems to work well. But, when I half press the camera button to focus, it still gives the annoying little 'bip bip' noise. I'm trying to figure out what volume I'd need to set to 0 to stop that noise. Anyone know?

Reminder Widget

First day with tasker and set up a few profiles - it's great! dancedroid Started a 3rd which I thought would be easy, but can't figure it out.

I wanted to setup a reminder widget. When pressed it would prompt for reminder text, and the date and time for the reminder. It's the input variables I can't figure out how to incorporate. Thanks!

I have no clue how to get Tasker to prompt you for a text input

For the life of me I cannot figure this profile out..

I want to auto sync data every half hour. I want it to turn 3G on, turn Sync on, and force my gmail, Twitter, and facebook to sync every 30 minutes, and then turn all of that off.

Anyone know where i can get this info?

Much appreciated.

Sunset / Sunrise times to change screen brightness?

I hoping to create a task that will:

1. During the day (sunrise to sunset)
2. In the car dock
3. powered by USB

A. Turn the screen brightness to full
____________________________________

1. During the night (sunset to sunrise)

B. Turn the screen brightness to Auto

Does anyone know how to get sunrise / sunset information from the phone or internet to use as a parameter in Tasker?

Thanks,

Is it possible to use tasker to connect to bluetooth device? Right now I have tasker set to turn on bluetooth when it is put in my car dock. However, the phone does not automatically connect to my bluetooth reciever, so i want to go the extra step to then prompt it to connect. Is that possible?

I don' think so but I don't have this problem, as soon as I put my phone in the dock it connects.

Great!
If I want to add a time/day profile, does it matter where i place it?

Thanks.

Thanks.

I think the easiest way is in the Home profile
Press "+" - Tasker - Stop - If %TIM < (start time in the format 18.45) - Done
"+" - Tasker - Stop - If %TIM > (end time in the same format) - Done - Done
Then long click on the Variable Set %home line and drag it to the bottom of the list.

If the time is going to go past midnight you will need to do something else. Let me know if you need more help.
