what do you say

there are so many ways to ask for a soda across the country that I am wondering what you say

In CT I ask for a soda by name eg. Can I have a Coke Sprite ,7 up, etc. But generically we say "soda"

anyway, I grew up saying soda, though others around me say sody pop or soda pop. should have put that in the poll

I say "soda" generically here in Maryland. If I want something specific, I'll call it out specifically...Coke, Dr. Pepper, etc.
