Txt issue

Has anyone had any issues with their HTC Eris sending blank random txt messages to friends. I have had this happen a few times. When i have turned on my phone and when i have sent a txt message to someone it sends a blank txt to a totally different person but also sends the orginal txt message to the correct person????????????? I need help...........any ideas
