We need to find a fix for the in-call volume before finding root. The in-call volume is a deal breaker. I can live without root for a little while.

This problem can be easily solved by having root.

You bet buddy. Just got it installed. So smooth its hard to believe it's stock. Can't wait for root. So happy I don't regret getting this R2D2 versus the D2G.

lol, the fix is just reset the phone. The volume is fine then.

And I thought I said that you shouldn't believe everything you read.

I'm running Gingerbread now, just one week after the misquoted comment. What P3 Droid actually said at the time was he hadn't seen a build for the D2…..Not that it wasn't ever going to get the D2. Then someone started that thread and everyone went crazy.

Can anyone with a rooted GB rom download fission rom manager and install the swype addon? Im wondering if that will fix it. Im not rooted and I lost my data cable to sbf or id try it.

you can get a swipe APK from a LOT of places...... if you got root you can flash a fix!
