Text Messaging - Bubble or Dialogue

Droid 4 owner.

Quick question.

I notice in the text message settings (as far as I can tell), there is no way to change the text message display from the default bubble/cloud to a straight text dialogue style. Am I describing what I mean well enough? The dialogue box I am thinking of is more in a list format compared to the cloud/bubble which has the texts segregated.

Is there any way to change the bubble/cloud text display to a dialogue list format? Or is that only possible with third-party apps.

Probably only possible with third party apps like Handcent SMS and Chomp SMS.
