The Mskip Nexus toolkit has just been updated for the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 7, Nexus 9, and Nexus 10. This update is available for those of you with the pro version of the toolkit as an update module. The update includes systemless root for Android 6.0.1. It also includes the 6.0.1 MMB29S stock image for downloading and flashing directly from the toolkit. The toolkit for the Nexus 6 also supports Root on the TMobile variant. Head to the link below to grab the update.

You don't need a modified boot img for root.

The system partition is not modified.
Applications that will not run with root won't be able to find it. An example is Android Pay.

Thanks! Also, sweet. Glad to see the dev community adapting to the new things that are thrown at them in Android.
