Subscribing to Forums?

How do you subscribe to a forum folder (like Razr Maxx or General discussion)? I've tried on the stock forum app & Tapatalk. I can subscribe to a specific post or to a main forum but is there a way to set it to go to the sub forums (Like the ICS & Razr folder)?

Eta...an example is that it will let me subscribe to Droid Discussions but not just "General Discussion"

If you navigate to that specific folder, long-press on it, then select "subscribe" you should be good to go.
