Stock Text notification

I was wondering if there was a way to disable the stock text notification that shows on the main screen. Not the one in the notification bar. Thanks!

Can you post a screenshot of what youre talking about? I only get notifications in the top bar, never got them anywhere else. Launcher pro gives you an option to have an unread count on the dock icons, but thats all i know of

I cant take screen shots anymore since my phone isn't rooted but I just downloaded launcher pro and set up my phone and its gone. Thanks!
