Shortcuts question

Maybe this is common and I never noticed it, but...If I have five screens with shortcuts and happen to be on say page 3 and click on a shortcut, when I close that app, I do not return to the page 3, where I started from. Instead, I will find it jumps forward or backward to another page. Hope that makes sense. Is that normal?
Thanks for the help.

It's not what should be happening, but it's a bug (I presume) in KitKat. I assume that you mean that you press the home button when you say that you close an app. For some reason, the KitKat update has the home button act as if you pressed it twice. What should happen is that you press home and it returns to the last home screen that you were on. This is what happened when the phone had 4.2.2. Since the 4.4 update, it goes back to the last home screen, and then goes back to the default home screen. If you install an alternate launcher that has a specific action for the home button, it does the action twice.

So, you are seeing what we are all seeing. It's not normal, but there is nothing wrong with you specific phone.
