Sd card? Phone Memory?

I recently have come across a problem regarding my memory usage. I took some music out of my media folder which was there when I bought the phone, and when I take it out, it doesn't show room being made. Because of this, I can't put anything on my phone and it's driving me crazy!

I read you only need a PC to root, and I'm on a Mac at the moment because I'm using my friends. Could this be the problem?

I'm also curious where it's defined as SD card, and phone memory. My phone says it has 6.24 GB free and that my SD card holds 7.41, with only 3,43 MBs left, which is far from true. It should be practically a naked drive.

Your easiest route would be to save the contents of the sd card to a computer if you want any thing on it, then format the card and only put on what you originally wanted there.
