Screen shuts off after motorola logo

I tried updating to ics and seem to have run into a problem. First I ran matt's utility to make sure I was stock and after reboot was where I started having problems. I can get into recovery/fastboot etc. but unable to reboot normal. The moto screen appears then the screen goes black. I'm stuck and need some help please

edit: now I guess the battery is dead even though its hooked up to a wall charger. It won't turn on at all. no light in the corner or anything.
