Screen Issue With Keyboard Out

I have searched the forum but haven't found any info on this issue. Whenever I slide the keyboard out the screen goes fuzzy and is completely unreadable. If the keyboard isn't out the phone works like nothing is wrong. Any idea on what could be causing this issue?

Same thing happened to me a year ago. What is happening is that when you slide out the keyboard, the ribbon cable that connects the two halves is shorting out. Common problem on sliders.
