Saving MMS

Hey all, I have searched and searched the forum and can't find out how to do this. When you recieve a mms message with a picture and music playing in the background how do you lock it or save it? I get the option to save the slide show but when I go back to look at it or send it its only the picture. I know on a non smartphone, when you recieved a message like this you could lock the message and some of the phones would even let you save it, then you could view it again and or forward it to someone else. I have rooted my Droid 2 and my Droid 1 and ran custom roms on the Droid 1 but this I cannot seem to figure out. Can anyone tell me what I am missing?
