I rooted and flashed Liberty to my droid 3. Everything is good except battery life. I also had to download all my aps again from market withn thre new RoM? Is this normal? I am kinda new to all this. I hear people flashing roms over and over, but how to you make it so you can save your dow0nloaded aps when changing roms? Its expecially a hassle with email ap touchdown as I have to reconfigure the settings everytime.

You need to use an app like Titanium Backup to backup all your user apps plus data. Then after a data wipe restore with Titanium Backup.
