When you root your device there is only one way to know that the series of steps you took to get the job done actually worked.... you run the Root Check app. I mean I guess you could just try using an app that needs root access, but root checking apps are a quick and easy way to make sure you are truly rooted!
There are a few Root checking apps. One of the best is Root Check by one of my all time favorite Android Devs Jared Rummler aka JRummy! He is known for development of the Gummy Rom and Liberty Rom way back in the day and also came out with several very useful apps. He has just updated the Root Check app with an all new UI which looks amazing! One other thing this app does is it gives you a list of popular root apps that you can download.
