Quicktime Movies question

I transferred a quicktime movie to my phone and tried to play it...it loaded for a long time then got msg cannot be played.....do i need a special app to play those type of movies...??..if so which one

android doesn't support many file types, quicktime would be one that isn't supported. You can try a 3rd party app like rockplayer otherwise the native app only supports mp4 and one other file type I forgot

thanks again...I found one calle mxplayer pro...it works fine and plays QT movies.......
