The latest kit kat leak for the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 contains some awesome advantages that may be taken away in any future official over the air updates. With the latest leaked version of Kit Kat you are always able to use Odin to go back to 4.3 for root or disaster recovery. The leak allows for any compatible kernel module to be used. This feature is unlike any previous Note 3 build to date. There is no white list security in place to block kernel modules which aren't approved. This is Kit Kat but is also SELinux permissive which is also very rare. Developers like Hashcode and BeansTown106 are hailing this build as one of the most unique and valuable to date on Galaxy devices. They are saying you should treat it like Gold and never update via the official OTA update mechanism again! If you do decide to take an OTA update there is no guarantee that you will ever see any custom development for your phone again, as it appears that all future development will be based on the fact that you are running this Kit Kat leaked build. Who knows what developers will be able to come up with now that we have the ability to flash whichever kernel we like. This may be the kick in the pants that the Note 3 needed for some meaningful development to return to this device. Keep it locked in right here as we will keep you posted on any further developments regarding the Verizon Galaxy Note 3!
