POP3 email suddenly stopped connecting in GMail (not on the phone)

I have my AKO (military) email being pulled by GMail and pushed to the phone. So please no suggestions of K9 etc.

Suddenly it stopped working. Password or settings haven't changed a bit. I can check it from the web with the same settings with no problem. But I wondered why I hadn't gotten an email from that account so I checked GMail and it said "Error: This email has not been retrieved since February 18th". I checked the settings and they haven't changed or anything, so I am completely lost as to why it suddenly stopped pulling.
