No software is needed, you can connect with a usb cable or Bluetooth and mount the Droid just like a flash drive to transfer anything back and forth. Did you have anything specific in mind?

I bought it. Motorola Media Link. It was worth it for me because I wanted to trim some videos i took with the Droid and I couldnt really find another way. PLus it does convert to and from many codec Microsoft WMV included.

the upgrade lets you convert to other formats and trim video.
free just lets you transfer files which you can do easier without MML software.

Clarify what you mean by "interact" -- that could mean anything. Are you looking to transfer files, browse one or the other, control one or the other, sync data or something else?

Is there any PC software, like Kies, that is available for my Droid X that I use to manage the contacts on my phone?
