    Does the pc see an Android device as an external drive, the same way that it does when a Blackberry is connected via usb, so that files can be moved on or off the phone?

    If you mean the SD card, yes. Not sure how it works with internal memory as I've got the Moto Droid.
    It doesn't just pick it up automatically though, you have give it the OK on your phone.
