I basically rooted my DROIDX sometime ago and forgot I had done so. I then recently upgraded to 2.3.3 but did not indoor my phone first. I started seeing behavioral problems and recalled it was rooted. I attempted to unroot and this is when I ran into problems and I am now in an odd state. I have superuser syllabus installed biy it is not functional. When o run z5 it thinks o am rooted and provides the link to unroot this either fails oimmediately

do a factory data reset. its sucks to redo the phone like that, but there isn't much you can do.

Do a backup with Titanium Backup first, then do a factory reset.
