ok so i used superoneclick followed all the steps and rooted my droid so when i go to get a custom rom it wont let me download Rom manager because my firmware is 2.0 ? any ideas on how to help

You need to flash a custom recovery, either clockworkmod or raidzero. Then you'll be able to flash a rom. You really dont need rom manager

Stay away from rom mangler.
