My 8pen "keypad" disappeared

I have been using 8pen on my Rezound since I installed it last December.
I love 8pen and have been using it exclusively.

MY PROBLEM:

It has suddenly stopped displaying and all I get is a regular keypad - that keypad does not even have the 8pen link that used to show.
I've tried checking everything AND even uninstalled 8pen, bought it new, and re-installed it.
Still no 8pen even though the app shows in my applications list.
Don't know what to try next.

Any suggestions?

I miss it and want it back.
It's biggest advantage is that once you're comfortable with where it is, you can type without having to look at the phone.

After reinstalling it, did you go to settings, language and keyboard and select it as default?

I'd done everything but the long press before typing that lets us pick.
That worked like a charm - my 8pen is back up and running.

Still have no idea why it disappeared in the first place, but I'm good now
