Music stops playing when screen sleeps

Never used to do this.......regardless of what my screen timeout is set to be, music would always continue to play even after the screen shut off.

Is there another setting that I am blanking on?

Streaming music or from sd? Make sure wifi sleep policy is set to never. Settings, wifi and network, wifi settings, menu, advanced, port something like that.

Also, there are battery saving apps which disable data when the screen is turned off, like Juice Defender. They may have exceptions to allow the application access to data while the screen is off.

Songs on sd card, not streaming.

Any new lockscreen app? New rom? Same music app? Any suspicions?

Does the music app close out or just pause then restart when the screen comes on?

It will pause when screen sleeps then when it comes back on I hit play.
I am running Bamf remix 1.6.3

Did you ever resolve this? I'm having the same issue which is new to my phone following a complete system reset that I did to resolve other problems I was having. Anytime I hit sleep or swype over to alternate screens or open other apps my music (on internal memory) stops immediately
