For those who think the volume on the Galaxy S4 is too low, well there's a mod for that. :p

Flashed the moderate boost one and my phone is now so much louder. Not sure if I'll keep it like this or flash the stock volume .zip. I guess I can always just lower the volume on the phone itself.

I would be careful when I got my Samsung galaxy nexus the volume was too low and I got a volume booster which damaged the output circuit so I lost all sound. Returned it.

Yeah, the moderate one is plenty loud.

i downloaded and installed the highest volume one and am being careful not to max out the volume like i had to before. This "tweak" is fantastic! Thanks to the developers for this one!

Anyone have a step by step guide to doing this? Not really sure how to flash stuff. Do you just open the folders on your phone and switch files out? Just have a hard time figuring this stuff out at times. Looked thur that thread and couldnt find the answers i needed...

You have to be rooted.

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/sa...t/243165-how-root-your-verizon-galaxy-s4.html

And install a customer recovery on your phone

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/sa...354-video-how-install-recovery-galaxy-s4.html

From there you boot into that custom recovery with that zip file downloaded to your phone and flash it from there.

This will void any warranty on your device and you could really mess it up if you don't know what you are doing. I would make sure and read, read, and read before attempting. Be sure the means justify the ends so to speak.

Hmm, might want to try and re-add it to the sd card.

Are you using Team Win Recover or CM Clockworkmod recovery?

Download the Sound mod zip from the op

Save the sound mod zip to your external sdcard

You can use Goo.im to install Team Win Recovery

Just download from the playstore

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.s0up.goomanager

After install open Goo.im

press menu button

click Install OpenRecoverScript

follow the prompts to install recovery

wait for it to finish then

boot to recovery

Flash sound mod zip you saved to your external sd card

and reboot, system

I wonder if Verizon made it more quiet, because when I was with T-Mobile, I remember thinking it was one of the loudest speakers I'd ever owned - but not so with the Verizon one that I had.
