Low signal strength

I am running com rom 2.0 with patch, ED04 radio and -50 pbj kernel. At first I thought every thing was good then I noticed intermittent 3g for a good while already, now my service is going down the drain. I have at least half the bars of other phones. My wife's incredible normally has full bars in the house as well as a friends dx, mine would be normally 2 but bounces around from 0 to 3 to 1 and etc. Any suggestions?

Did you try dialing *228/2 lately?
