Legal free tethering?

I was wandering about two app for free tethering
Planet
Easy tether

They both claim to be lawful, but can I use these without stealing?

It still violates Verizon's terms of service.

I have used both and prefer Easytether.

as mentioned above... the only way to tether with out violating verizon's tos... is to pay... so there isn't a free way...

I think its stupid that Verizon charges extra for tethering. As far as I know AT&T doesn't charge anything for tethering. It's ridiculous what cell phone companies charge anyway. They should be cheaper all around.

Not that I'm condoning stealing, cheating, piracy, or otherwise general dishonesty; I think people should pay for services and products they use. I just think someone needs to make some serious competition for the big carriers by offering better services at more consumer friendly prices without all these invisible fees for every little nuanced thing you do.
