Keypad goes dark everytime I go to type in (more)

So. if I dial a 1-800 number, say for ATT calling card, I have to enter
a 12 digit code. I'll hit the keyboard icon and get a few numbers in,
but from that point forward, everytime I get close to pecking a number,
the screen goes dark.....It won't allow me to finish putting my numbers in.
Any help?

Watch the placement of your hand when typing, if you get it close enough to the proximity sensor up top by the camera it darkens the screen. It thinks you've put the phone to your head lol.

I don't feel any such problem it is the bet phone till know i have ever used and it rocks only i don't like is the camera quality is not up to the mark of my thinking.
