If you root your Droid 2 Global, does it ruin the firewall? Is your phone more prone to getting a virus???

I don't believe your phone has a firewall. The only known android viruses are the chienese ones gemini or something and whatever. I wouldn't worry about getting a virus and rooting definately won't up your chances of that unless your fooling around with some dirty apps.....

Correct, your chances of getting a virus are slim to none, and rooting wouldn't even have an effect on that.

I haven't heard anything particular about that app but as with any app not loaded from the android marketplace, pay very close attention to the permissions it asks for.
