Introducing Myself

Hi. New to the :motdroidhoriz: Droid X. Came off :iphone: iPhone, previously longtime :blackberry: BlackBerry user. Still getting used to the Droid. I have a question I'm confident someone has a good answer to. I like to set up tasks or calendar events to pop up a alert to remind me to do something at a certain time. To date, I have only found one way to do it, by setting up an event on my calendar (which I really dont like, because it clutters up my daily schedule). I have found that the alert only produces a one time audible alert. If I miss that one time audible alert, I miss the reminder :icon_eek:
I need a visual, and/or a lingering or repeating reminder until I acknowledge it. Any suggetions?
