When trying ti view some web pages the print is small even though I have tthe setting to close. On my old incredable I was able to pinch the screen to zoom and to have the whole article on the screen with no scrolling left to right, is this not available with the s3 or am I missing something.

The galaxy S3 should absolutely be capable of pinch to zoom, if that is not working I would try rebooting the device, if that doesn't work I would try a reset. To my knowledge multi-touch is not something can be disabled in settings so I wouldn't thing you should need to check there.
