How do I delete ringtone name - the sound is gone

I uploaded an app that allowed me to record, then unknowingly saved a recording three times to my ringtone list. I was able to get rid of the sound (when selection/title is touched the sound is now gone). I have deleted the app, and yet the selection/title is still there. When I go to system/media, the title that I am hoping to delete is not on the list. Does anyone know how to get rid of a selection on the ringtone list, when the sound is already gone?

After researching several pathways - I reloaded the recording app program, made the same name sound file, then deleted it in the recording app, and this deleted the selection in the Ringtones list. Fun!
