Im sure this has been asked before but, how come when you move a program from slide up menu to one of your 3 home pages, it still stays in the slide up area?

    Thanks

It just creates a shortcut. You aren't physically moving the application.

Think of this in computer terms.

The slide-up menu is like your program list on your computer. You can make shortcuts for the programs on your desktop. That's what you are basically doing on the phone.
