So now I don't know how to get the widget back. It's not in the widgets section of the app tray.

Did an FDR since but the widget didn't return.

Does anyone know how get the on-screen Google search widget back?

Spot on! Followed your steps, then went into the widgets section of the app tray and there it was.

Thanks! :D

What exactly am I looking for? I need the same thing.

I installed the leaked OTA JB update for the Droid Razr and I removed the widget that was there from Motorola - with Gingerbread. I want the Voice Actions back. I'd like to be able to say "CALL <so and so>" and make the phone do that. or "NAVIGATE TO <place>" but Google Now won't do it.

Thank you :)

It's not a widget on jb. I've tried removing it that way. I think it might be part of Google Now? Pressing and holding only opens Google, unlike a normal shortcut/widget where you can then move it around/delete it from the screen

That's a part of Google Now and as far as I am aware, no, it can't be removed.

Do you have an alternate launcher, such as NOVA, installed?

Please provide a screen shot.

BTW... Since this really isn't related to the topic of the original thread, you may want to start a new thread regarding this issue.

Kind of, but it is on all of my homescreens

There is a way to remove it but it doesn't increase the available home screen size. I had found a way to remove it on my old Razr Maxx but I was appalled to see I couldn't move my circles widget up and when I got my new phone in didn't worry about trying trying o remove it again.

This is exactly why I wanted to remove it lol. When I disabled Google search, it went away, but I had hoped it would make more room on the secret. Oh well
