GPS and WiFi in Ireland

I am traveling to Ireland and want to use the GPS and WiFi part of my Droid while there.
I need to know if these will work in Ireland.
I will be using a rental phone from Verizon as mine won't work there.
I hope I can use the GPS part using Google maps
