Is .99 too much for an App? According to Google, .99 may still be too expensive for many people around the world. They just can't afford it.

" If you're a developer willing to sell at a lower price, you can adjust your apps' pricing scheme under "Pricing & Distribution" or "In-app Products" in Google Play's Developer Console.
We hope this change allows you to reach more people around the world so that you can continue to grow your business on Google Play".

Personally, I feel this is an awesome move by Google and would like to see more companies do the same.

What are your thoughts?

I know if certain games (I'm looking at you squenix) were less that 15.99 (or less than 9.99 in Chrono Trigger's case) and more like 4.99 I'd own ever single one of them...

with the price they are I either wait for them to go on sale or simple use a snes emulator to play them. Lower prices can most certainly mean more sales, and more sales means more money.... duh.
