Good signal but very slow and spotty internet while I'm at work, s

I have a droid X, 3g, but while I'm at work my internet is very poor. Most of the time when I speedtest I get like 200-300kbps, but occasionally it will drop down to 50-100kbps. I don't think there is any interference because other people at work that get internet just fine. I'm not running very many apps, so that isn't the problem. Could it be that the tower has too much traffic? It seems to slow down most around noonish, which would be when I assume it has the highest traffic. Any suggestions would be great. I'm just hoping when I upgrade to 4g in the next couple weeks that I won't have this problem..
