gallery question

i've already googled and searched and all i'm finding are apps/tips to hide pictures completely. all i want to do is not show thumbnails when i go into the gallery, is that possible? like i just want it to say the album names, not show the 2 preview pics. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. like i said i've been searching for 15 minutes already and am only finding those "omg i needa hide my porn" answers with like the apps you have to buy from the market.

I'm not sure you can make it do that. What you CAN do is put a blank file called .nomedia in the folder you want, and that folder and all of its subfolders will not appear in the Gallary app, Music app, etc.

You can also rename the folder. Instead of "pictures" or "florida_album" you make it ".pictures" or ".florida_album" and it will have the same effect.

The contents no longer show up in media oriented apps, but a file manager like Astro can still get to them, and then open the files in said apps.

Yeah that's what I was finding in all those other threads. But like I said, I'm not looking to hide anything, I just don't want thumbnail previews. I have ALOT of albums and it takes forever to load sometimes because of it. Oh well, I guess I'll just deal with it.
