Look before you leap.
The current deal looks very inviting for a 5x.

Exactly the best way to find out! Get the phone for $199+tax when you sign up for Project Fi. You'll pay that and also the first month's bill. If you don't like it within the time period given, you'll get a refund for the phone unless you keep it, it is fully carrier unlocked and both CDMA and GSM capable, you'll even get a refund of the data you don't use.
